A large NHS trust in the West Midlands is seeking a Senior Registrar in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. The role involves managing complex caesarean sections, leading out-of-hours shifts, and supporting high-risk antenatal clinics. Candidates should have at least 7 years of experience, MBBS equivalent, GMC registration, and MRCOG. This position offers the chance to contribute to both clinical governance and research initiatives within a diverse and supportive environment.

This post includes attendance in high‑risk antenatal clinics, elective caesarean section lists, gynaecology theatre, and the opportunity to complete a SITM in pre‑term birth prevention, supportive obstetrics, or pregnancy care.
We would expect the post holder to possess skills detailed on the RCOG Training matrix ST1‑7 and be competent at leading out‑of‑hours shifts as a Senior Registrar.
The holder will contribute to a 48‑hour EWTD full shift rota; the remainder of the job will consist of general middle‑grade duties on the Labour Ward and emergency gynaecology, allowing the successful candidate to maintain their skills in general Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
