Senior Clinical Fellow - Burns & Plastics

This post is for a Senior Clinical Fellow in Burns & Plastics Surgery.

12 month, 7 month and 6 month fixed term posts available

This is a full-time post offering an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Surgeon looking to progress their career in burns, plastics and reconstructive surgery to join a dynamic, rapidly expanding team delivering multidisciplinary acute care in Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals.

The successful candidate will be expected to have full Registration with the GMC at the time of application.

Main duties of the job

This post will provide the successful applicant with especially good exposure to Burns and Plastic surgery in a Regional Plastic Surgery Unit and Burns Centre with a catchment area of over 6 million in population across Cheshire, Merseyside, West Lancashire, North Wales and the Isle of Man. The department has an international reputation in publishing including journal editorship's and several key textbooks.

The post holder will play a full role in the management of the plastic surgery trauma workload. The role provides numerous opportunities for the successful candidate to enhance their clinical skills and have clinical exposure in a wide range of areas. The Burns and Plastic surgery directorate is amongst the largest in the UK with 29 Consultant Plastic Surgeons.

Duties will involve the full range of clinical, outpatient and operative experience.
