The Anaesthetic department at King's is delighted to advertise this post for a period of 6 months. Standard hours of duty will be 40 per week plus additional out-of-hours commitments.
We deliver anaesthesia for a range of general and subspecialty areas including Neurosurgery, Cardiothoracic, Hepatobiliary, Endocrine, Maxillofacial, Liver Transplant, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics and Major Trauma.

There are opportunities within this role, outside of the on‑call commitment, to gain experience in many of the general and subspecialty areas of anaesthetics we offer at Kings. We have successfully delivered higher training modules for CESR candidates for several years and with discussion, this could also be an option for this post holder. Equally within cardiac there will be opportunities to be involved in cardiac anaesthesia, high risk perioperative assessment, MDMs and cardiac cath lab cases.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
