Job summary

A global clinical research organization in the UK seeks an experienced Data Management Project Leader to manage data management projects, ensuring operational excellence and compliance with SOPs. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Life Science or relevant experience, strong attention to detail, and experience in training and supervising staff. This role offers the opportunity to lead diverse teams and make meaningful contributions toward advancing clinical studies.

Qualifications

Responsibilities
  • Manage each of the data management projects to which assigned; provide leadership to the corresponding data management teams.
  • Represent Worldwide Clinical Trials in all dealings with sponsors with respect to the data management aspects of the projects to which assigned.
  • Liaise with the Director, Data Management at regular intervals to discuss progress and any issues outstanding.
  • Take responsibility for staff training for all projects to which assigned; directly involve in training and supervise staff assigned to training.
  • Ensure that all data management operations are conducted to WCT SOPs and contribute to the ongoing revision/improvement of these SOPs.
  • Create and review project‑specific documentation for assigned trials, i.e., the Data Management Plan and the Data Management File.
  • Ensure that adequate QC checks (including spot checks) and database quality assessments are performed on the clinical databases of assigned projects.
  • Demonstrate computer literacy and numerical skill with willingness to adapt to various computer systems.
  • Possess excellent attention to detail and questioning mindset about the validity of the data being entered, and be able to phrase data queries clearly and impartially.
  • Train new staff and monitor their performance.
