Job summary

HS2 Ltd is seeking a Senior Civil Structures Engineer to support the Head of Civil Structures, ensuring compliance with legislation and providing technical direction for civil engineering structures across Phase 1 and Phase 2. The role covers robustness of engineering input, standards development, and governance adherence.

You will lead on technical advisory activities, manage budgets, and collaborate with procurement, designers and project management to deliver safe and reliable railway

Qualifications

• Experience with design of bridges and civil structures
• Knowledge of UK construction regulations including CDM
• Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams
• Experience with governance and assurance processes

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice and assurance for civil structures and related activities
• Lead engineering teams across Phase 1 and Phase 2 delivering integrated solutions
• Ensure design for civil structures meets HS2 standards and governance procedures
• Develop and apply best practices and innovative engineering techniques across delivery teams
• Represent HS2 at national and international levels and engage with stakeholders
