Job summary

Bechtel Corporation seeks a Civil/Structural engineer to lead field investigations and client interviews to define work scope and cost estimates for civil/structural aspects of a project in West Sussex.

You will guide design, development, modification, evaluation, and constructability reviews, ensuring compliance with project requirements and Bechtel standards across a global business unit.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and 8–14 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in planning, designing and reviewing civil/structural components and processes.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, conduct, or coordinate detailed phases of civil/structural engineering work for a global project or team.
• Prepare original designs, layouts, drawings and specifications for structures, buildings, roadways, and rail.
• Design, develop, modify and evaluate Civil/Structural components using standards and Bechtel procedures.
• Produce complex structural deliverables such as steel and concrete calculations and material requisitions.
• Analyze design constraints and propose practical, constructible solutions.
• Coordinate with project teams to address Civil/Structural requirements during execution.
