Job summary

eNL is seeking an experienced in-house Barrister to join our civil litigation team in Manchester. The role offers a varied workload, professional development, and the potential to grow your own practice, with flexibility in working hours.

The successful candidate will handle advocacy and written work across a broad spectrum of civil litigation, including personal injury, clinical negligence, and costs, while mentoring junior advocates as needed.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years PQE and eligible for a practicing certificate.
• Higher rights of audience are desirable.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A detailed and precise approach to advocacy and case management.

Responsibilities

• Court advocacy across civil litigation matters.
• Attend conferences and prepare/settle papers.
• Keep up to date with procedural changes, case law and legislation.
• Assist with training and mentoring of less experienced advocates.
• Provide a high-quality service to clients.
