Job Description

Our client has opportunities for expansion to meet the current healthy forward workload generated by the impetus for growth in the UK within the commercial, retail, industrial and housing sectors.

The Infrastructure team at their Hove office operates from an open‑plan, air‑conditioned office.

The team specialises in providing sustainable development infrastructure solutions to mainly private sector clients in both the UK and overseas, and works closely with other disciplines to provide integrated solutions on high profile multi‑disciplinary projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide sustainable development infrastructure solutions for large‑scale logistics projects.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to deliver integrated solutions on high‑profile multi‑disciplinary projects.
  • Manage projects, attend meetings and liaise with clients, design teams and third‑party representatives.
  • Produce designs suitable for BIM Level 2 status, including 3D coordination and release of IFC or equivalent formats to required site grid systems.
  • Write reports (FRA, drainage strategy, specification, technical notes, etc.) and communicate clearly with the team and stakeholders.
Key Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience within the UK and an aspiration to gain Incorporated or Chartered status.
  • Significant recent experience in all civil‑related design aspects of large‑scale logistics development projects, from pre‑planning through to construction.
  • Experience in highways, external works, earthworks modelling and drainage for these types of projects.
  • Experience in highway and drainage design, bulk earthworks modelling and strong knowledge of UK design standards.
  • Private sector experience and working knowledge of Civil3D, Causeway Flow & Microdrainage, AutoCAD, AutoTrack (vehicle swept path analysis) and Navisworks.
  • Experience in producing designs that can be incorporated to BIM Level 2 status and undertaking 3D coordination with design teams.
  • Strong report‑writing and communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

This is a permanent position in the Hove office.
