Job summary

RTL Group Ltd in Eyemouth, Scotland, is seeking an experienced General Foreman for civils and energy infrastructure projects. The role starts immediately and runs for a minimum of 8 months, with rates dependent on experience.

You will oversee day-to-day site operations, plan resources, coordinate subcontractors and drive programme progress while upholding health and safety standards on live construction sites.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a General Foreman or Senior Foreman on civils, infrastructure or energy projects.
• Strong experience planning resources and coordinating multiple site activities.
• Proven ability to drive productivity and maintain programme progress.
• Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
• A strong understanding of health and safety procedures within a live construction environment.
• Relevant site certifications, including CSCS, SSSTS or SMSTS, as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing day-to-day site operations and supervising site teams.
• Planning and allocating labour, plant, materials and other site resources.
• Coordinating site activities to ensure works are delivered efficiently and in line with the programme.
• Driving progress on site and ensuring project milestones are achieved.
• Coordinating subcontractors and liaising with site management and project teams.
• Monitoring health and safety standards and ensuring compliance with site procedures.
• Identifying potential delays and resolving operational issues to maintain productivity.
• Ensuring works are completed to the required quality standards and specifications.
