MWH Treatment is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Southern Division with flexible working. You will lead civil design across major water and wastewater infrastructure projects, delivering buildable solutions that meet client requirements and regulatory standards.

You will coordinate with Process, Mechanical, EICA, Structural, Digital and Commissioning teams to support integrated delivery, identify risks and optimise design throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Strong civil design experience in water, wastewater, utilities or a regulated environment.
• Membership of a professional institution, ideally Chartered or working towards Chartership.
• Civil engineering degree preferred, or minimum HND in related discipline.
• Ability to present technical proposals clearly and commercially.
• Experience producing and reviewing civil calculations, reports, specs, drawings and design documentation.
• Ability to develop practical, buildable civil solutions considering safety, sustainability and life‑cycle costs.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams and supporting project delivery.
• Experience leading, checking or mentoring engineers within civil discipline.

Responsabilités

• Lead civil design tasks and packages to agreed standards, budgets and programmes.
• Develop civil designs, calculations, layouts, specs and technical documentation for water and wastewater projects.
• Produce cost‑effective civil solutions considering constructability, safety and whole‑life costs.
• Review civil design outputs for quality and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate civil design with Process, Mechanical, EICA, Structural, Digital and Commissioning teams.
• Identify and manage technical risks and opportunities for optimisation.
• Support civil infrastructure design including concrete, drainage, pipelines, earthworks and site development.
• Mentor junior engineers, graduates and apprentices.
• Build strong relationships with clients, discipline leads, project teams and suppliers.
