This is an excellent opportunity to be involved in major infrastructure, highway, and energy schemes across the UK – working within a multidisciplinary team that delivers innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.

The Role

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you'll play a key role in the design and delivery of complex road and infrastructure projects. You'll also mentor junior team members and contribute to the ongoing development of the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and develop conceptual and detailed designs for highways, infrastructure, and energy projects
  • Manage small project teams, ensuring deliverables meet quality, programme, and budget expectations
  • Provide technical input and governance across design stages
  • Liaise with clients, local authorities, and key stakeholders (e.g. Transport Scotland, SEPA, NatureScot)
  • Attend design and site meetings to support project progress
About You
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • Working towards Chartered status (ICE, CIHT, or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of DMRB standards and specifications
  • Experience with Civils 3D, InfoDrain, or PDS (signs/lines)
  • Background delivering highways or infrastructure projects for public or private sector clients
  • Excellent communication and report‑writing skills
  • Collaborative, proactive, and confident taking ownership of design delivery
What's on Offer
  • Competitive salary and flexible benefits package
  • ICE‑approved training and structured chartership support
  • 33 days' annual leave (including public holidays)
  • Pension, private healthcare, and life insurance
  • Interest‑free travel loan
  • Bonus schemes including loyalty and qualification awards
  • Hybrid/flexible working options
  • Supportive, inclusive environment with clear progression opportunities

If you're a civil engineer with strong highways and infrastructure experience and looking to join a collaborative, forward‑thinking consultancy, this could be a great fit.
