Meinhardt UK and Ireland is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join the London team on a varied portfolio of civil and development infrastructure projects. You will contribute from feasibility through to detailed design and construction, collaborating with clients, design teams and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (MEng) in Civil Engineering preferred.
• Experience in civil/infrastructure design in a consultancy environment.
• Experience in design areas: civil infrastructure, drainage, SuDS, flood risk, roads.
• Familiarity with UK standards, BS, DMRB, SuDS Manual, NPPF.
• Experience using Causeway Flow drainage software.
• Experience preparing reports, drawings and submissions.
• Knowledge of UK planning and utility coordination processes.
• Progress toward Chartered Engineer status or interest in chartership.
• Site experience and ability to attend project meetings and inspections.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of innovative civil infrastructure solutions for development projects.
• Design stormwater and foul drainage networks for varied developments.
• Prepare drainage strategies and designs in line with UK standards.
• Use Causeway Flow to model drainage proposals.
• Contribute to SuDS and attenuation systems design.
• Assist in Flood Risk Assessments, reports and planning submissions.
• Prepare external works designs including roads and earthworks.
• Review drawings and coordinate with CAD technicians.
• Undertake site visits and construction-stage support.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, planners, authorities and utility providers.
• Support project delivery regarding programme, quality and communications.
• Assist with project documentation and design submissions.
