Senior Civil Engineer

Location: Derby

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will take ownership of civil and infrastructure design from concept through to technical approval. You will lead drainage strategies, Flood Risk Assessments and detailed design work while working closely with clients, local authorities and internal teams. This role suits a Senior Civil Engineer who enjoys technical responsibility, project variety and mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver drainage, infrastructure and flood risk design for residential and mixed-use developments
• Prepare Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy reports
• Lead S104, S38 and S278 submissions through technical approval
• Undertake cut and fill assessments, site appraisals and feasibility studies
• Manage multiple projects while maintaining quality and programme
• Act as a key point of contact for clients and design teams
• Support and guide junior engineers within the team

About You

• Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Around 6+ years UK consultancy experience as a Senior Civil Engineer
• Strong drainage, infrastructure and flood risk background
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage or Flow
• Confident communicator with good commercial awareness
