Job Title: Senior Civil Engineer

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

This is an excellent opportunity to join my client, a trusted, eco-conscious Multidisciplinary Consultancy renowned for lending their expertise to projects across the engineering and energy landscapes. They are actively searching for a driven, capable Senior Civil Engineer committed to leading an established team of design professionals within the civil engineering, drainage, and flood risk sectors, based near the vibrant, historical city of Wakefield.

Responsibilities for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:
  • Producing detailed designs for highways and drainage, across commercial, industrial, and residential developments
  • Overseeing a range of infrastructure projects for a variety of public and private clients
  • Preparing and checking technical documents with reference to the relevant Section Agreements for highways and drainage (including S38, S278, and S104)
  • Using relevant software systems to produce designs, namely AutoCAD, Civils3D, Causeway PDS, and MicroDrainage
  • Managing client and customer relationships at all project stages, from initial inception through to successful delivery and implementation
Required skills and experience for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:
  • A Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering
  • Extensive experience within a design-based role, in a UK consultancy/Local Authority setting
  • Possess Chartered Status, recognised by a relevant Professional Body
  • Excellent working knowledge of the relevant software systems, including AutoCAD, Civils3D, Causeway PDS, and MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage
  • Highly-proficient in the application of the relevant Section Agreements (namely, S104, S278, and S38)
  • Experience of leading both people and projects
  • Outstanding communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrable experience of liaising closely with a diverse range of clientele, including building and maintaining strong working relationships
  • Possess a full, valid UK driving licence
Desirable skills and experience for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:
  • A Master's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Proficiency with Site3D
