• Comprehensive knowledge of UK design standards and planning procedures.
• Full UK driving licence is preferred.

Senior Civil Engineer

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join their Civil & Structural team. This role involves hands-on technical work and the delivery of civil engineering consultancy services across various projects, including housing, commercial, and residential sectors.

Day-to-day of the role

• Lead technical delivery on civil engineering projects, ensuring high-quality standards and project objectives are met.
• Design and oversee the implementation of drainage systems, highways, earthworks, and Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SuDS).
• Prepare Flood Risk Assessments and detailed technical reports to support project development.
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve project goals.
• Utilise industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, and AutoTrack to create and manage designs.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years’ post-qualification experience in a civil engineering consultancy environment.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering (BEng, MEng, MSc, HND/HNC).
• Comprehensive knowledge of UK design standards and planning procedures.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to mentor junior staff.
• Full UK driving licence is preferred.
