Advance TRS is partnering with a growing UK engineering consultancy to recruit a Chartered Civil Principal Engineer / Discipline Head for their water team. The role is based in Manchester with hybrid working and offers either a permanent salary of £65,000-£80,000 DOE or a contract rate of £450-£550/day outside IR35.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ design experience within the regulated UK water sector.
• Mentoring engineers and teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering design across clean and wastewater projects.
• Provide technical leadership and design assurance.
• Review and approve calculations, reports and engineering deliverables.
• Mentor and develop engineers, graduates and technicians.
• Drive engineering standards, quality and continuous improvement.
• Support bids, resource planning and framework delivery.
