Job description

I am currently recruiting for permanent Senior Residential Child Care Worker to work in the Preston area on a permanent basis.

As a Residential Child Care Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people by creating a safe, stable, and nurturing environment where they can thrive. You will help to build positive, trusting relationships and provide consistent emotional, physical, and practical support.

The role involves working as part of a dedicated team and alongside professionals from other services to ensure that young people feel valued, respected, and empowered to achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day care, guidance, and support for young people aged 8-17.
  • Promote emotional wellbeing, independence, and positive life skills.
  • Support young people with behavioural, social, and emotional needs, including those with complex backgrounds.
  • Encourage engagement in education, hobbies, and community activities.
Requirements
  • Level 3/4 qualification in Children & Young People
  • Minimum 6 months experience in a children's residential or similar setting.

Pay and shift Pattern
  • £33,250 per annum (£15.98 per hour)
  • Sleeps are additional £60 per sleep

Working hours we are looking at a rota of a 24/36 hour shift and two day off, on this rota basis or 48 shift and four days off, then back on 48 hours
