Witherslack Group is seeking a Shift Leader to support and lead a team in our children's homes. You will help ensure daily operations run smoothly, maintain high care standards, and build trusted relationships with young people.

Starting as an RSW through the Care Academy, you will undergo a 4-week off-the-job induction and then contribute to care planning, safeguarding, and wellbeing. A full UK driving licence is essential, with progression opportunities within WG.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months.
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) required or funded for study.

Responsabilités

• Lead and support the staff team to ensure the home runs smoothly and meets high standards.
• Provide leadership and deputise for Team Leaders when needed.
• Build relationships with young people and model compassionate, resilient care.
• Support staff with day-to-day operations and care planning.

You'll be a part of taking care of our young people day to day, making sure things run smoothly and creating lasting memories. As a shift leader you will also make sure that the staff team are supported and the home is operating at our high standards, prepared to step up to deputise for the Team Leaders. We're looking for someone able to relate to and build relationships with our young people. Compassionate, emotionally resilient, and supportive, you'll also be able to provide the leadership that inspires your colleagues.

What we do for you

• Salary: Base salary of £32,014 - £36,568
• Bonuses: In addition to your base salary you'll do up to 4 sleep ins per months, these are paid at £80 per sleep (approx. £3,840 per year) and £1,400 Attendance Allowance - assuming good attendance
• Training: A full 4-week induction on our Care Academy
