Job summary

TDA Care Solutions is recruiting a Children’s Residential Team Leader in Preston. The role leads Residential Support Workers, ensures safe, nurturing, child-centred care, and supports the Registered Manager.

Applicants must have prior team-leader experience and hold QCF Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent, with willingness to achieve within regulatory timescales; driving licence preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children or young people in residential care or related settings.
• Strong safeguarding commitment.
• Ability to lead and direct staff.
• Ability to follow policies, care plans and risk assessments.
• Full UK driving licence (where driving is required).

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight to Residential Support Workers.
• Lead allocated shifts to ensure safe, nurturing, child-centred care.
• Support the Registered Manager and wider management team to maintain high standards of care and regulatory compliance.
• Promote safeguarding and professional practice across the team.
