Job description

A great opportunity to work with an established and growing care company providing residential live‑in support for children and teenagers with challenging behaviour. They are always growing and take pride in the support they give the children – they believe that setting them up with life skills now will help them turn into well‑rounded members of the community. Their staff are always on hand to provide emotional support as well as helping to teach and develop the children for the future.

Responsibilities
  • Based in a children's residential home on the Wirral
  • Working 2 full days and nights and then having 4 days and nights off
  • Working with younger children
  • Supporting the child with breakfast, helping them dressed, getting them to school, washing, picking up from school, cooking dinner, bathing and to bed
  • Ensuring they are supported emotionally and aiding their learning and development to give them a stable and loving environment
Benefits and Salary
  • £15.40 if you have your Level 3, £14.81 if you don't have it but have the experience
  • £60 per sleep in
  • 224 hours holiday per year – you get an extra 2 days when you have been there 2 years
  • Bank holidays paid at x1.5

  • Claim petrol back for 40p per mile
Qualifications / Experience / Requirements
  • Living in or around the Wirral area
  • You must have a full UK driving licence and ideally your own vehicle; a house car will be available
  • NVQ Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce is very beneficial but will consider someone working towards their Level 3 qualification
  • You will need experience working within children's homes dealing with children
