Job summary

Bracknell Forest Council is seeking a Senior Commissioner to join the Children’s Strategic Commissioning Team. You will apply commissioning expertise across the cycle, support positive outcomes and deliver value for money for residents.

You will lead provider monitoring, negotiate effectively, and collaborate with partners while balancing flexible working patterns, including remote options and 1-2 days in Time Square office.

Qualifications

• Experience in commissioning, contract management or related environment.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all aspects of the commissioning cycle are implemented to support outcomes.
• Manage a portfolio of projects with time-bound plans and clear accountability.
• Lead high-value projects, commissioning reviews, change management and contract management.
• Provide advice and options appraisals to senior managers across the council.
• Build strong relationships with partners for effective commissioning and service development.
