Job summary

Saga Cruises is seeking an experienced Chief Officer to join the Spirit of Adventure on a fixed-term contract. You will serve as the senior Deck Officer aboard the vessel, reporting to the Staff Captain, with a watch team of officers and deck crew.

Embarkation is planned for October 2026, with a contract duration of 2 months +/-1. You will be responsible for maintaining navigational safety, BRM adherence, and cadet training, while ensuring compliance with all STCW requirements and company

Qualifications

• C/O unlimited CoC preferred with Master Unlimited.
• Direct experience as Chief Officer on passenger/cruise vessels.
• All valid STCW and required certificates.
• Good references and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead as senior Deck Watchkeeper aboard Spirit of Adventure.
• Assign duties to deck staff and monitor BRM compliance.
• Maintain safety, navigational procedures and shipboard discipline.
• Oversee navigation planning, log books, and training of cadets.
