Job summary

Contechs Consulting is seeking a Senior Chassis Control Systems SW & Calibration Engineer for a contract position based in Surrey. The role focuses on implementing control functions in MATLAB/Stateflow and producing reliable software for vehicle dynamics and suspension systems.

You will lead engineering discussions with suppliers, verify software against requirements, and contribute to ISO26262 and ASPICE compliance across MIL, SIL and HIL testing environments.

Qualifications

• Degree level education in a relevant Engineering discipline (mechanical, automotive).
• Model-based, auto-coded software prototyping and production implementation.
• Support vehicle software testing and calibration.
• Excellent knowledge of suspension control and/or ESP software and calibration.
• Excellent control theory background.
• Good knowledge of automotive systems at system architecture level.
• Software requirements capture and detailed software design into specifications.
• Model-based control software development and verification.
• AUTOSAR software components generation and integration.
• Verification testing in MIL, SIL and HIL environments, and in-vehicle integration.
• Compliance to ISO26262 and ASPICE.
• Demonstrable experience in the automotive sector.

Responsibilities

• Implement control functions in MATLAB Simulink/Stateflow.
• C-code generation and analysis.
• Conduct SW components testing using MIL and SIL techniques.
• Test SW components within the system on the HIL.
• SW components verification & validation against requirements.
• Lead technical discussions with suppliers.
• Work cross-functionally to deliver software components.
