Benchmark Financial Planning in Brighton is seeking a Chartered Financial Planner to join our senior advisory team. You will manage a portfolio of affluent clients, lead sophisticated planning cases, and mentor junior colleagues.

This is a senior role with real influence on clients, people, and the wider business. You will build strong client relationships, develop new business through referrals, and maintain high standards of compliance and quality of advice while collaborating with colleagues

Qualifications

• Chartered Financial Planner status (CII or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years’ regulated advisory experience, typically 10+ at this level.
• Evidence of successful business development through professional networks.
• Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, tax, and estate planning.
• Confidence dealing with high‑net‑worth clients.
• Experience mentoring or supporting less experienced advisers.
• Strong working knowledge of financial planning systems and tools.

Responsibilities

• Deliver holistic financial planning across investments, pensions, protection, and tax.
• Lead client meetings, fact finds, and the construction of tailored financial plans.
• Maintain and grow relationships with professional introducers.
• Develop new business through referrals and networking.
• Act as a technical reference point for complex cases.
• Mentor and support junior planners and paraplanners.
• Maintain strong compliance standards and quality of advice.
• Contribute to business growth and operational improvement.
