Turn this role into an interview — a resume and cover letter built around what this employer wants.
SRVO is seeking a Senior Chartered Building Surveyor to join a capable team delivering residential surveying services across the UK. You will balance site inspections with precise reporting, guiding projects from feasibility to completion while mentoring colleagues and driving continuous improvement.
The role requires delivering high-quality reports, managing budgets and programmes, and maintaining safety standards across all instructions. A full UK driving licence is essential.
You will join a highly capable building surveying team, working under the guidance of the Building Surveying Directors to deliver the core services our clients rely on. Operating primarily in the residential market, you will apply robust technical judgement to diagnose building defects, scope solutions, and see projects through from feasibility to completion.
You will balance site-based inspections with precise reporting and clear client communication, providing practical, safe and sustainable recommendations. Your work will help set the standard for technically sound delivery, while you mentor colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement across our service lines.
Most days you will be planning and undertaking site inspections, preparing high-quality technical reports and specifications, and running projects through contract administration. You will liaise closely with clients, contractors and colleagues to keep programmes on track, manage risk and ensure works meet scope, budget and quality standards.
