A leading healthcare provider in the UK seeks a Senior Charge Nurse for the Emergency Department. The successful candidate will oversee patient care, manage the nursing team, and uphold high professional standards. Candidates must be NMC registered and have relevant experience. Offering a salary of £47,810 to £54,710 annually pro rata.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Charge Nurse in Emergency Department to develop on existing managerial and leadership skills, working as the Senior Nurse within the Emergency Department, with direction and support from the Urgent Care Matron.
The successful applicant will be required to deliver on the quality agenda and deputising for the Matron in their absence. Leading the department by demonstrating professionalism, clinical expertise with excellent communication skills in all aspects of their work and working as a role model for the nursing team.

The role of the Senior Charge Nurse is to ensure the safe and effective care of patients attending or brought into the Emergency Department. This is a challenging role that would suit an experienced Emergency Department Nurse.
On a day-to-day basis the ED Senior Charge Nurse is responsible for the flow of patients through the department either to specialty teams or to discharge. The Senior Charge Nurse is also responsible for the overall quality of care and well-being of staff and patients and the management of the ED nursing team as part of a team of senior team providing compassionate leadership. The successful candidate will be expected to act as a role model in the Emergency Department and demonstrate East Cheshire's values through their work.
