An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced nurse leader to join our Cardiology team as a Senior Charge Nurse within the 9-bedded Coronary Care Unit (CCU) and Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory at Ninewells Hospital.
This post offers the chance to lead a highly skilled multidisciplinary team delivering specialist care to patients with acute cardiac conditions, including myocardial infarction, arrhythmias, and heart failure. The CCU is closely integrated with the Cardiac Cath Lab, which provides diagnostic and interventional procedures including angiography, PCI, and device implantation.
As Senior Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for the operational management of the unit, ensuring safe, effective, and person‑centred care. You will provide clinical leadership, support workforce development, and contribute to service improvement initiatives aligned with national cardiology standards.
You will be supported by the wider cardiology leadership team and have opportunities for professional development through NHS Tayside and academic partnerships.

Applicants should be registered on either Part 1 or Part 12 of the UK NMC Register, with extensive post registration experience and be able to demonstrate expert clinical knowledge and professional practice preferably within an acute setting.
