Corporate Services Group, Strategic Change Group

Full Time: 35 hours per week

Fixed Term: 18 months

The Opportunity:

We are looking for exceptional Change Managers to join the Strategic Change Service within the Corporate Services Group, who are dedicated to supporting the people side of change

We are an expert team of professionals advising, coordinating, supporting and co-producing strategic initiatives and improvements in partnership with our colleges and services, and their constituent schools and departments. We are driven by a commitment to deliver positive outcomes that benefit those who work, study and partner with the University.

The service operates under a matrix management model with members of the service aligned to a capability team for their professional standards, development and line management, and deployed onto a strategic change programme/project for their strategic and operational delivery.

The role holder will line managed by the Head of Change Management and will contribute both to the development and continuous improvement of the capability and to the operational management of programmes/projects.

Candidates will be aligned to a specific programme or project delivery and will be responsible for managing the activity that prepares and supports individuals/groups of individuals to adopt and sustain planned changes. You will also support programme or project sponsors and leads by planning and managing their activity required to support the change.

This post is full-time (35 hours per week). We are open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working. Colleagues are expected to be in the office for at least 2 days per week with on-campus days aligned to service and delivery requirements.

The salary for this post is £50,253 - £61,759 per annum.

Your skills and attributes for success:
  • Significant evidenced practical experience of either change management or working within a University in a business areas supporting people in the implementation and adoption of improvement projects.
  • Experience of change management planning and delivery including approaches to managing change successfully.
  • Strong engagement skills which support the development and implementation of people change.
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills to plan and organise project change management activities.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision accurately and consistently to high standards
  • Able to work effectively in a team and in partnership with stakeholders and develop positive working relationships.
