Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior CDM Advisor to strengthen its Health & Safety and CDM offering within a multidisciplinary construction and property consultancy in the North West. The role is based in Preston with regular travel across the region.

You will provide expert guidance on CDM compliance from project inception through to completion, act as Principal Designer under CDM 2015, and lead design risk workshops across varied client projects while building strong

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015.
• Significant experience as a CDM Advisor/Principal Designer.
• Strong report writing and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the North West.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist CDM and health & safety advice to clients, design teams and contractors.
• Manage and deliver CDM services across multiple projects.
• Lead design risk management workshops and reviews.
• Prepare and review Pre-Construction Information.
• Support clients in discharging duties under CDM Regulations.
• Undertake site inspections and health & safety audits.
• Review construction phase plans and related documentation.
• Produce technical reports and client guidance.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Support business development opportunities where appropriate.

The business works across a diverse range of sectors and has built a loyal client base through its technical expertise, collaborative approach and commitment to delivering high-quality projects.

With continued growth across its project portfolio, the business is looking to strengthen its Health & Safety and CDM offering through the appointment of an experienced Senior CDM Advisor.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced CDM professional who can bring a wealth of knowledge, practical expertise and commercial awareness to an established consultancy environment.

You'll work with a wide range of clients, project teams and stakeholders, providing expert guidance on CDM compliance and influencing safer design and construction practices from project inception through to completion.

The role is based in Preston, with regular travel across the North West to support clients and projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Acting as Principal Designer under CDM Regulations 2015.
• Providing specialist CDM and Health & Safety advice to clients, design teams and contractors.

About You

This role requires a candidate with extensive practical experience and exceptional technical knowledge of CDM legislation.

You will have:

• Significant experience as a CDM Advisor, CDM Consultant or Principal Designer.
• Comprehensive knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 and associated legislation.
• Strong experience working with clients, designers and contractors across construction projects.
• The confidence to challenge and influence project teams where required.
• Strong report writing and communication skills.
• The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the North West.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Construction Certificate
• Membership of APS, IOSH or a similar professional body.
