Job summary

EY UK is seeking a Senior CDD Analyst to join the Central CDD Team in Newcastle. You will perform risk-based financial crime due diligence on clients, provide pragmatic guidance to engagement teams, and support high-risk case handling with a robust compliance mindset.

You will coach junior staff, contribute to EDD reviews, and help strengthen onboarding procedures while maintaining strict confidentiality and professional integrity in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months experience working in CDD/KYC within a sophisticated and fast-paced business environment.
• Strong analytical skills and risk awareness.
• Ability to verify different client types using public records and subscription services.
• Experience with enhanced due diligence/high-risk cases is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform risk-based financial crime due diligence on EY clients following policy and procedure.
• Act as a point of contact for internal service lines, offering pragmatic and compliant guidance on CDD requirements.
• Coach team members and handle complex case queries in high-risk structures.
• Support EDD as a lead and quality reviewer of BAU handovers, ensuring thorough documentation.
• Encourage collaboration with the Central CDD Team and stakeholders.
• Coach and support junior Central CDD Team members in applying risk-based approaches.
