Job description

Salary: £10,523.52 per annum (FTE £26,308.80 per annum)

16 Hours per week, 52 weeks per year

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our catering team at Ruskin Mill Café, a busy and thriving social enterprise which serves the local community and supports the learning and development of our students. As Senior Catering Assistant/Lead Cook, you will be supporting the Café Manager in all aspects of running the Café, producing fresh organic nutritional meals to customers, students and staff. You will be expected to work evenings and weekends as required.

Main Duties
  • To work in all areas of Café to provide a consistent high standard of customer service and the production of high-quality food and beverages in conjunction with the Café team.
  • To deputise for the Café Manager as necessary to ensure the café consistently operates to the high standards expected.
  • To produce high quality meals using biodynamic/organically grown food using the principles outlined in our food and nutrition policy.
