Job description
Role Overview

As a Senior Catastrophe Analyst , you will play a pivotal role within our Exposure Management team, leading the delivery of analytical services for designated classes of business. You will work closely with global underwriting teams to provide reporting, insights, pricing support and portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver accurate and timely portfolio assessments and regulatory / non-regulatory reporting.
  • Provide catastrophe modelling and bespoke underwriting analytics to support new business and portfolio optimisation.
  • Drive process improvements, automation and data quality enhancements.
  • Collaborate with research teams to refine risk views and modelling approaches.
  • Prepare data for underwriters, reinsurers, and brokers for outward reinsurance purposes.
  • Validate model outputs for internal and external regulatory submissions (e.g., RDS, LCM, Aggregate Monitoring).
  • Support training initiatives and act as a subject matter expert for exposure management tools and processes.
What We’re Looking For
  • Degree in a relevant field (Natural Sciences, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Geography).
  • Experience with catastrophe models and aggregation tools
  • Strong technical skills : SQL essential; R, Python, VBA desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with data visualisation tools (PowerBI, Tableau).
  • Highly analytical, organised and proactive with excellent communication skills.
  • Familiarity with reinsurance concepts and working across multiple insurance stakeholders.
