Job summary

OneCall24 Limited is seeking a compassionate Senior Carer (SC) to provide high-quality care to service users in their homes in Poole, Dorset. The role entails administering medications, supervising staff, monitoring wellbeing, and promoting dignity and independence.

You will support residents with daily activities, nutrition, and personal care while maintaining accurate records and clear communication with families and professionals.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience in the last 2 years is required.
• Must be a driver with a car
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• Medication certificate

Responsibilities

• Administer medication safely and accurately in accordance with care plans and medication policies.
• Supervise, support, and mentor care staff, ensuring high standards of person-centred care are maintained.
• Monitor and record residents' physical and emotional wellbeing, reporting any changes promptly to the nurse or management team.
• Assist with moving and handling residents safely, following manual handling procedures and risk assessments.
• Provide high-quality personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and promoting dignity and independence.
• Support residents with nutrition and hydration by serving meals, assisting with feeding where required, and monitoring dietary needs.
• Maintain accurate care records, including daily notes, medication administration records (MAR), and incident reports.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and colleagues to ensure continuity of care.
