About The Role

Senior Care & Support Assistant

Location: Kenwith Castle - North Devon - EX39 5BE
Pay rate: £13.35 per hour
Required: NVQ 2 (Happy to work towards NVQ 3 in Health & Social Care)
Hours: Full Time & Part Time Positions.

You will need to be able to inspire and nurture your team to be at their best every day. You’ll have completed an NVQ 2 in Health & Social Care and be happy to work towards an NVQ 3. With your previous care experience, you will have the knowledge and understanding of care planning.

What you will be doing:

1. Work alongside a team of Care Assistants to ensure they are supported and have guidance throughout their shift.
2. Identifying the individual needs and abilities of our residents to allow you to deliver person-centred care.
3. Supporting residents to help them remain as independent as possible.
4. Providing companionship – really getting to know them!
5. Act as point of escalation for any incidents or events in the home.
6. Working in a team to create a co-operative, friendly and welcoming atmosphere around home.
