Job summary

CrossReach is seeking a Senior Care Worker to balance hands-on care with leadership responsibilities. You will lead shifts, coordinate care delivery and mentor colleagues, while maintaining high standards of person-centred care.

The role requires SVQ Level 3, and you should be willing to pursue SVQ Level 4. PVG and SSSC registration are mandatory, with entitlement to work in the UK. This is shift work, including some weekends.

Qualifications

• Must hold SVQ Level 3 in Social Services and Healthcare.
• Willing to work towards, or hold, an SVQ Level 4.
• Must be a PVG Scheme member and registered with SSSC.
• Must be entitled to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with personal care and daily living activities.
• Lead shifts and coordinate care delivery.
• Mentor and support less experienced colleagues.
• Administer medication safely and accurately.
• Monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to changes.
• Contribute to assessments, care plans and reviews.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure procedures are followed.
