Job summary

GreenSquareAccord is seeking an experienced Senior Care Assistant to join the Extra Care team at Showell Court, Wolverhampton. This permanent, full-time role (35 hours) involves supporting people aged 55+ to live independently in their own homes, with shifts 7:30am-3:00pm and 2:30pm-10:00pm and alternate weekends.

You will deliver high‑quality care, monitor wellbeing, assist with medication, and ensure care plans are followed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in care settings, ideally Extra Care, supported living or residential care.
• Experience supervising staff and leading shifts.
• Strong knowledge of person-centred care, medication support and care planning.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
• Calm, patient and compassionate with good decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example, mentor team members and supervise day-to-day care delivery.
• Monitor residents’ wellbeing, administer and support medication, ensure care plans are followed.
• Collaborate with social services, district nurses and SALT teams for coordinated care.
