Overview

As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness is at the core of everything you do in our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. You will work to deliver personalised care plans, support residents and their families, and lead a team of Care Assistants to maintain the highest standards of care. You will assist with daily activities, support with meals and mobility, and collaborate with the Registered Nurse and Care Manager to provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, as well as administer medication. You will maintain accurate records of the care you provide and build strong relationships with the team. Salary: £13.50 to £14.10 per hour. Location details and departmental alignment are provided during recruitment. We provide full training and a comprehensive range of benefits to support your wellbeing and development.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Care Assistants and maintain the highest standards of care.
  • Plan and implement personalised care to give residents security, dignity and independence.
  • Get to know residents and their families to deliver truly personalised care plans.
  • Work with residents on activities and social/recreational engagement, and assist with meals and daily living needs.
  • Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager as required, including administering medication.
  • Maintain accurate records of the care you provide and build strong team relationships.
  • Communicate with residents and co-workers with kindness and consideration.
Qualifications
  • Ideally, Level 2 Diploma/SNVQ in Adult Social Care and prepared to work towards Level 3 in Adult Social Care or equivalent.
  • Background in person-centered care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia.
  • Strong record-keeping, time management and communication skills.
  • Positive energy and ability to get along with people; compassionate and kind approach.
  • Safeguarding awareness and willingness to undertake safeguarding training and report concerns as required.
