Job summary

Care UK is seeking a Night Senior Care Assistant in Mexborough to join a multi award-winning team. You will work 8pm–8am on a 3 on/3 off rolling rota, leading shifts, managing residents, and coordinating with families and professionals to deliver tailored care plans.

You’ll administer medications and conduct risk assessments while supporting residents to stay active and independent. We value a caring, professional approach and provide extensive training, career development, and wellbeing support

Qualifications

• Must have leadership experience and ability to supervise others.
• Good understanding of care planning processes.
• Willingness to undertake medication administration training when required.

Responsibilities

The Role

• Night shifts; 8pm - 8am
• Working 3 on, 3 off rolling rota pattern
• Leading and supervising your shift
• Case managing residents and liaising with families, healthcare professionals and other stakeholders to ensure that the best care plans are created and delivered
• Administering and recording medication
• Carrying out risk assessments
• Working alongside care assistants to support residents with daily needs, ensuring residents remain as active and independent as possible
• Working closely with the leadership team to develop services
• Provide a fun, inclusive, and professional approach at all times

About You

• NVQ Level 3 in health and social care desirable
• Be well-organised, IT literate and adept at allocating and delegating work appropriately
• Proven ability to lead and supervise others
• A good understanding of care planning processes
• Be experienced in or happy to undertake training on administering medication
• Above all, have a natural ability to help make the lives of others more fulfilling
