This role as a Senior Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare in Kingswood offers a permanent position with a salary of £13.50 per hour. The successful candidate will support the care team in delivering high-quality, personalised care to residents in a safe, caring and inclusive environment.

We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our award-winning team as a Senior Care Assistant.

Role focus: Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff. Other responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, identifying changes impacting care and updating care plans accordingly.
  • Involvement in the person-centred care planning process, implementing, monitoring and evaluating care plans.
  • Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
  • Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff development where required.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for residents, relatives and visitors, and coordinating with health and social care professionals; ensuring reasonable requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints escalated as needed.

Requirements and expectations include living the values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful and accountable. Our ideal candidate must:

  • Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
  • Have 2 years of experience in a similar care environment.
  • Be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude toward supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
  • Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
