Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Care Assistant to cover night shifts at a beautiful care home in Heanor. This ongoing role offers weekly paid hours and an immediate start, providing vital support to the existing team.
Responsibilities
- Deliver the highest standard of personal care and attention to residents, following individual care plans using PCS software.
- Ensure all interactions are warm, respectful, and supportive, while maintaining strict adherence to Health and Safety protocols, including COSHH, Food Hygiene, and Infection Control.
- Administer medication using Atlas eMAR and liaise with other healthcare professionals to meet residents’ needs.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle all personal information and incidents with discretion.
- Provide hands-on support throughout the night and ensure all duties are completed and the team is well-supported.
- Participate in handovers to ensure continuity of care between night and day teams.

Qualifications and Requirements
- An Enhanced DBS Certificate
- NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care
- Up to date mandatory training certificates
- Full up-to-date CV
- A minimum of 1 year’s experience working as a senior care assistant within a 20+ bed care home
- A referenceable work history
- A bubbly and outgoing personality and a true passion to make the lives of those under your care as fulfilling as possible
Additional Information
- Previous experience with both Atlas eMAR and PCS is preferred but not essential.
- If you do not have a valid DBS and/or training, we can help with online training available at a subsidised fee and the certificates are yours to keep.
- Please note that we do not offer sponsorships.
- This is an ongoing opportunity. You will be working from 22:00 to 07:00 on up to 4 nights throughout the week, around the needs of the rota.
- You will be paid £14.50 per hour.
