Job summary

Holmes Care Group Beechwood site is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to join our caring team. You will deliver person-centred care to residents and support their daily needs in a respectful, compassionate manner.

As part of the team, you will supervise Care Assistants, assist nurses and unit managers, and help families with care planning. A current SVQ Level 3 plus care experience is required; ongoing training opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Current Health and Social qualification and experience in the Care Industry.
• SVQ Level 3 is required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Providing excellent care and support to residents.
• Supervising and motivating all Care Assistants and functioning as a team member.
• Assisting residents in all aspects of their care needs, e.g. physical, emotional and spiritual.
• Providing support and guidance to family members.
• Assisting trained Nurses and Unit Managers to lead and develop staff members.
• Engaging in day-to-day activities and providing companionship to residents.
• Maintaining good communication and developing effective working relationships with other team members.
• Report on the wellbeing of residents and liaise with GP's and support Managers.
