Job summary

Bupa is seeking a dedicated Senior Care Assistant for Waverley Grange Care Home in Farnham. You will lead a unit, support clinical duties with the nurse, and supervise a team of Care Assistants to deliver high-quality, personalised care.

You will build strong relationships with residents, their families, and external health teams while fostering a compassionate, professional environment that supports dignity and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• NVQ3 in care is required or actively pursued with employer support.
• Experience in a care setting is valued and beneficial.
• Strong communication and caring approach to residents.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day responsibility for running a unit.
• Supporting with clinical duties, including supporting the nurse to observe, issue medication, review care plans and accurate record keeping.
• Driving and managing a team of Care Assistants, including responsible for all shift handovers of the teams.
• Helping with training and supervision of new staff members so they feel welcomed and supported.
• Building relationships with residents, their families and external teams such as GPs and District Nurses.
• Assisting residents with a range of personal care duties.
