Anchor Hanover Group’s Layston Grove in Buntingford is seeking a Bank Senior Care Assistant to provide flexible cover across the rota and support the care team in delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

You will lead shifts, help with medication administration, and ensure care plans are up to date while mentoring colleagues and maintaining a welcoming environment for residents.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant or an experienced Care Assistant ready for the next step.
• NVQ/Diploma Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or working towards)
• Medication administration experience
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
• Flexibility to pick up shifts based on the needs of the home
• A genuine passion for delivering high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Leading and supporting the care team during your shifts
• Administering medication safely
• Updating and reviewing care plans
• Supporting, coaching and mentoring colleagues
• Completing staff supervisions and return-to-work discussions where required
• Ensuring residents receive outstanding care in a safe, welcoming environment

The Role

As a Bank Senior Care Assistant, you'll provide additional support to the home when required, helping to cover periods such as holidays, sickness and other staffing needs.

When working a shift, you'll take a senior role within the care team, helping to ensure exceptional, person-centred care is delivered.
