Overview

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement care that gives residents security, dignity and independence.
• Get to know residents and families to deliver truly personalised care plans.
• Lead a team of Care Assistants and maintain the highest standards of care.
• Demonstrate kindness in all interactions, including assisting with mobility, meals, and conversations with residents’ families.
• Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, and administer medication.
• Maintain accurate records of your work and build strong relationships with the team.

Shift Pattern and Location

Day shifts and night shifts available on a 3 on, 3 off rotation.

Location: Sandbeck Way, Wetherby, LS22 7DN

Salary: £13.50 to £14.10 per hour • Pay scheme: Other • Contract: Permanent • Working pattern: Full-time

Qualifications and Experience

• Essential: Senior Care Experience
• Essential: Level 2 Diploma/SNVQ in Adult Care or equivalent; prepared to work towards Level 3 qualification in Adult Care
• Desirable: Level 3 in Health and Social Care
• Essential: Background in person-centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia
• Strong written and verbal communication; excellent record-keeping and time-management skills

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You must recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect and know how to report concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and undertake related training as needed.
