Overview
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will lead a team of Care Assistants to deliver high quality, personal care to our residents. You will inspire, develop and nurture the team while investing in our new digital care transformative initiatives, focusing on clinical excellence and resident care. Over 75 years of healthcare expertise will support your ongoing training in clinical and social care development.
Responsibilities
- Day‑to‑day responsibility for running a unit
- Responsible for issuing medication, reviewing care plans and accurate record keeping
- Leading and managing a team of Care Assistants, including responsibility for all shift handovers of the teams
- Helping with training and supervision of new staff members so they feel welcomed and supported
- Building relationships with residents, their families and external teams such as GPs and District Nurses
- Assisting residents with a range of personal care duties
Qualifications
- NVQ3 in care (or working towards completion) – we support completion if needed
- Previous experience of the role with knowledge of its rewards and challenges
- Motivated, positive, excellent interpersonal skills and passion for making a real difference to people’s lives
