A health care provider in the UK is looking for a compassionate Senior Care Assistant to provide personalised care for residents. The role includes planning, implementing care plans, leading a team, and ensuring high standards are met. Successful candidates will have the ability to build strong relationships and will preferably hold a Level 2 diploma in Adult Social Care and be prepared to pursue further qualifications. You will get to know our residents and their families helping to ensure we deliver truly personalised care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of care and you will be a real influence on the rest of the team. Whether you are showing someone how to use a walking frame, helping someone at the end of their life to eat a meal or talking to a resident’s family on the phone, you will do so with a sense of kindness, above everything else. Assisting the Registered Nurse and Care Manager, you will be involved in providing essential physical and mental stimulation through a range of social and recreational activities, as well as administering medication.

Night shift working a 3 on 3 off rotation. As a Senior Care Assistant at HC-One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. You will plan and implement the kind of care that gives our residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence, get to know our residents and their families, lead a team of Care Assistants, maintain the highest standards of care, assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager, provide essential physical and mental stimulation, administer medication, keep accurate records and build strong relationships with your team. You should have completed a Level 2 Diploma S/NVQ in Adult Social Care and be prepared to work towards Level 3 qualification in Adult Social Care or equivalent, have a background in person‑centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia, and bring positive energy and a natural ability to get along with people.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility in adult social care and therefore it is important that you are able to recognise the signs which may indicate possible abuse, harm or neglect in its different forms and know what to do if there are any concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas. You also have the ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
