A leading care company is looking for a Senior Care Assistant in Swadlincote. In this role, you will provide compassionate support to residents while leading a team of Care Assistants. The ideal candidate will have experience in personal care and a strong commitment to building relationships. This full-time position offers a salary of £13.50 to £14.10 per hour and various benefits including a pension scheme and paid annual leave.

You will get to know our residents and their families, helping to ensure we deliver truly personalised care plans. Assisting the Registered Nurse and Care Manager, you will provide essential physical and mental stimulation through a range of social and recreational activities, and administer medication. Maintaining accurate records and building strong relationships with the team are key responsibilities. You are expected to have in mind the principles of person‑centred care and have experience of caring for people with dementia. Strong record‑keeping, effective time‑management, a positive energy and a natural ability to get along with people are essential.

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility in adult social care. You must recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect and know what to do if concerns arise. All colleagues attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and can seek advice, report concerns and, if necessary, escalation.
