Overview

As a Senior Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare, you will positively impact residents’ lives every day. Main duties

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant is to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff. Other responsibilities include monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being involved in person-centred care planning, supporting residents with their medication requirements, and undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.

  • Provide a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.
  • Monitor the wellbeing of residents, identify changes affecting care and care plans, amend records to reflect new needs, and contribute to care planning and monthly evaluations.
  • Support residents with medication requirements and undertake staff supervisions, helping with their development where required.
  • Act as a key point of contact with residents, relatives, visitors, and health and social care professionals, ensuring reasonable requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints escalated as needed.
About you

  • Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
  • Have 2 years of experience in a similar care environment.
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Have a positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
  • Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
