Job description
Overview

As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. This role spans Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes, where residents are seen as individuals with their own stories. Joining HC One offers a meaningful opportunity to give something back to residents.

Main duties of the job

Plan and implement care that provides residents with security, dignity and independence. Be a positive influence on the care team. Demonstrate kindness in every interaction, whether teaching a resident how to use a walking frame, supporting a resident at the end of life, or speaking with a resident’s family on the phone.

About us

At HC-One, our purpose is to support residents to lead their best lives. As the Kind Care Company, we strive to be the first-choice care provider for Families, Colleagues and Commissioners in our communities.

Job responsibilities

This is a full-time role, day shifts, 38.5 hours per week, with full flexibility required. As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness is central to all activities across our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. You will know our residents and their families, helping to ensure truly personalised care plans. You will lead a team of Care Assistants and maintain the highest standards of care, influencing the team positively. You will support care delivery by showing how to use mobility aids, assisting with meals for residents at the end of life, and communicating with families. You will assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing physical and mental stimulation through activities, and administer medication. A key responsibility is to maintain accurate records and build strong relationships with the team. Ideally, you will have completed a Level 2 Diploma or NVQ in Adult Care and work toward Level 3, with experience in person-centered care planning and dementia care. What matters most is your positive energy, ability to get along with people, good record-keeping, time management, and a genuinely kind approach to residents and colleagues.
