Job summary

Healthcare Homes Group is seeking a Senior Care Assistant for Oaklands House in Reydon. The role covers 36 hours per week on day shifts, 8am-8pm, including every other weekend, with a pay rate of £14.10 per hour.

The home is part of a larger Suffolk care group established since 2005, offering a thorough induction and ongoing training as part of a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience in elderly care or similar setting.
• Ability to maintain accurate resident records and documentation.
• Comfort with administering prescribed medications and observing changes.

Oaklands House is located in the seaside town of Southwold in Suffolk. The house is surrounded by five acres of mature woodland. Inside the home is a handsome entrance hall which leads on to a number of exquisite reception rooms. The stunning south-facing conservatory is ideal for peace and quiet but is also a popular meeting place for residents and guests.

What would a typical day look like?

• Supporting individuals with personal care (hygiene, washing, dressing, etc.)
• Providing companionship and offering social interaction
• Maintaining accurate resident records
• Administering prescribed medication and updating medication charts as applicable
• Supporting and leading our existing care team
